The Creative Designer’s primary role is to create design solutions with high visual impact for the company’s primary products and/or services. The role also involves supporting company initiatives that may need aesthetic design concepts whether individually or team assigned projects.
The Creative Designer will report to the Creative Lead. Outputs delivered by the Creative Designer are to evolve around Ecell’s service offering through product designs solutions that are authentic, imaginative and trendy.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years relevant experience in the creative design field
- Must have a portfolio displaying proven competence in the latest trends in design tools/software and their role within a commercial environment
- Keen sense of accuracy and attention to detail
- Professional approach to time, costs and deadlines
- Good communication skills with the ability to objectively relay design ideas to other members of the team
- Curious, open minded, positive can-do attitude and can carry a sense of humour at work
- Intrinsic motivation to design great products for consumers
- Able to display maturity and objectivity during project feedback or brainstorming sessions
Scope:
- Create authentic and imaginative designs for company products and services by gathering information and data through systematic market research
- Develop design concepts, graphics and layouts for product illustrations, company initiatives, and web projects as needed
- Interpret current consumer needs and develop design concepts aligned with such
- Coordinate with other team members or other departments to ensure consistent compliance with industry standards of product/service quality and aesthetic appeal

The Product Designer is responsible for the design, creation, testing and development of existing and new products and/or product lines in support of the company’s vision and business targets. A primary function of the position is to utilise specialist knowledge and practical experience of creative design and engineering to produce functional, effective and aesthetically pleasing products. Products designed may be intended for limited production or mass manufacturing and therefore they will need to be optimised accordingly. The Product Designer makes vital modifications to existing designs in order to improve functionality or visual appeal.
Under the supervision of the Creative Team Manager, the Product Designer uses drawings, 3-D models and computer designs to express ideas. The Product Designer understands technology, production methods and materials from company’s business perspective.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years relevant work experience related to product design
- Able to display functional working knowledge in current software applications for 3D computer-aided design (CAD) used in the industry
- Strong and fully functional working knowledge across a variety of 3D computer design programs
- Comfortable with the design process at any stage with the ability to take a project from concept to completion
- Good at explaining ideas to people with varying levels of technical knowledge
- Results oriented and able to work within deadlines and budgets
- Must have a keen sense of accuracy and strong attention to detail
- Curious, open minded, positive can-do attitude

Scope
- Design and prototype products for business targets
- Work with the Creative Design Team and the production facility to ensure quality and design standards of products
- Be in close coordination with management and clients to discuss the design briefs
- Document the design process and present the reports of the products at various stages of the design process
- Oversee the testing of the chosen designs
- Research current industry trends that are relevant to assigned product design projects
- Support adhoc projects as assigned by the Creative Manager
